Dating Manners and Etiquette for Teens (Grades 8th – 12th) – Self Presentation & Style
Is your teen thinking about dating or actively dating? Does your teen know what behavior is expected during a date? What are the dos and dont’s of dating? Have you talked to them about dating, but, they still don’t quite get it? All these questions and more are covered in our “Dating Etiquette for Teens” series.
As you know, dating can be tricky for teens – clearly, the explosion with the ever-present cell phones and social media being in the mix = CHAOS! Whether you are the parent of a teen boy or girl, providing your teen with resources for proper dating etiquette is a must… Their world is filled with new temptations and new levels of peer pressure. The ways in which teens communicate with each other have changed – opening doors for next-level verbal and visual interactions, which also open up opportunities for unhealthy perspectives, as well as impulsive behavior.
To help you navigate this tricky territory, we’ve outlined teenage dating rules, teenage dating etiquette, and social skills activities for your teen(s). This series will allow them to be safe and have fun, as they confidently and comfortably navigate and develop great personal habits and healthy relationships.
